A Talk With My Best Friend

Here I am again Lord, I have found a resting place. You know it is very easy, when it is by your grace. Somehow the dark clouds come and go, with each passing one, I find the strength to look ahead and know the battle's won.
Sometimes we see a mountain, when it's only a hill, or we are drowning in an ocean, when it's really not God's will. If we could only look up, and see you, all the sorrows and heartaches would easily disappear.
We get so involved with what we want. We get so out of touch, new cars, new house, and money mean so much. There's really nothing wrong, with possessing all these things. It's where your heart is, that really changes things. To have the right perspective is the only thing that counts. Knowing where our possessions comes from, that's what it's all about.
Lord I want to thank you for the things you've given me, and the grace to see things, as they truly ought to be.
I saw God standing from afar," My child you'll be alright, you're learning how to stand and walk, that is half the fight."
When I looked up again, He smiled and winked at me. Oh, what a blessing just to know, how great a friend is He. Copyright 1997
