Redeemed Lives

Dear Friends,

Grace and peace to you all in Jesus Christ on this sunny Sunday morning (at least here in Ipswich, MA).  I am sending this email to request urgent prayer for my trip on Wednesday to Warsaw, Poland to participate once again in the Human Dimension Implementation Meeting (HDIM).  This meeting is sponsor! ed by the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE) and is considered to be one of the globes most influential human rights gatherings.  The 56 nations of the Northern Hemisphere will all be present.  The HDIM was formerly called the Helsinki Human Rights Accords during the Cold War. To review the participation of Redeemed Lives at the OSCE/HDIM at last years gathering, go to www.osce.org and in the search bar type in Redeemed Lives or Redeemed Lives USA or Mario Bergner.  From there you can read our documentation and will know what you should begin praying for.

I will send you another email tomorrow, hopefully, providing this email reaches you all today.  Meanwhile, as you prepare to go to church, or if you have already been there, please intercede for this meeting and Redeemed Lives.  We know! the Lord is sending us there.  But it is a bit daunting.  S o please pray, that like Esther, I will speak what needs to be said to the heads of state.

Dear Friends,

Grace and peace to you all in Jesus Christ our Lord.  Thank you to so many who sent encouraging words to my last email regarding this mission to the OSCE in Poland.  Before I write more, I want to apologized for the look of these correspondences.  Our current email server has a glitch in it, and sometimes characters I have not typed, like exclamations marks sudd! enly appear in the text.  At other times, a space suddenly occurs between letters.  These are not intentional, so bear with us. 

Just before I left for Poland, I was informed that only one of my two Side Events would be approved.  The one on changing unwanted same-sex attraction was dropped. The one on various views of Gender Identification was retained.  However, I received an interesting email from another Christian leader in Europe stating that if I sent in my salient points of the Side Event, and presented a question to the OSCE and ODHIM Advisory Panel of Experts, that my concern would be addressed. Below, you will find my request. 

Most importantly, please pray for me for the Intervention I will give tomorrow morning before the 56 Nations of the OSCE.  My main request is That the participating states of the OSCE will draft legislation to protect the human rights ! of men and women with unwanted same-sex attraction to retain the freedom to seek out pastoral care or professional therapy.  In that same presentation, I will ask the 56 nations of the Northern Hemisphere to Protect the right to free speech for Christian academicians and clergy so that they may teach and practice the sexual morality of their faith traditions without being subject to false accusations of hate speech and harassment. 

By Friday evening, you should be able to go to the OSCE Website, www.osce.org and type in Redeemed Lives, and the text of my Intervention will appear.  Depending on the number of people presenting, I will have between two and five minutes to make my case.  Hence, what you read in bold in this email is my BIG IDEA.

Pray hard.  Pray for the power of to speak the truth in love to break the love of power that overtakes political processes everywhere.
