For years I had struggled to maintain stability in my Christian walk. The high times of my life were good. The low periods were associated with despair, depression, and insecurity.
None of the low periods of my life had happened because I had fallen out of fellowship with Christ. I was simply trying to cope with the pressures and problems of life and struggling to find maturity in Christ.
It is of the utmost importance to know who you are in Christ. That you are the righteousness of God. Once you have established that in your spirit, you are on your way to maturity in Christ.
Merrian Websters Collegiate Dictionary gives several definitions of maturity. The one I prefer is: Termination of the period that an obligation has to run. Roget’s Thesaurus defines maturity as: Age of responsibility.
Success begins with intimacy with Christ. Intimacy is relationship, time spent getting aquatinted with God on a one-on-one basis. Knowing His voice. Knowing He is ordering your foot steps. Having the affirmation of being confirmed in the body of Christ. Knowing there is a time for praise, a time to speak (reading the word) and a time to be silent before the Lord that He may speak to your heart.
Isaiah 40:31 But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.
Intimacy brings about birth, birth brings life. It is Gods desire for all of His children to have life and have it more abundantly.
