I am Covered In The Blood

I’m sitting here in my office on this last working day of 1999.  It’s quiet and everyone else has gone for the day.  I'm thinking back on the 363 days of this year that have already passed.  I begin to think on the many changes that have taken place within me and in my life during just this year.  All of them, I know, had been ordained to take place in this season long before I was ever conceived in my mother’s womb.

This year started out, as most of my adult years have for the past twenty plus years, with me on my knees in prayer, however, there was something different about this year.  As I continue to look back with my spiritual vision, I can plainly see that God’s will for my life was being manifested in the physical (earthly) realm.  As I continued to surrender to Him more and more in different areas of my life; some of those areas I thought I had long ago given over to Him.

For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the Lord.  For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.  For as the rain cometh down, and the snow from heaven, and returneth not thither, but watereth the earth, and maketh it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower, and bread to the eater: So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.  Isa. 55:8-11

The manifestation of the anointing and the blessings He has prepared, and is even now abundantly pouring out upon me, appear as great waves washing over my entire body and as a mighty rain being showered down from the heavens on top of me.  God's anointing is so powerful that when I even attempt to comprehend it I literally lose my breath.  I can't explain it, I just know it's there and my heart cries out, "My Lord, My Lord, how gracious are your tender mercies toward me, simply because I am covered by His Blood".
