Holiness In Marriage
Mother Dorothy Parker Koger, Washington, DC
Catagory: Volume 2, Issue 3 and 4 March/April 2000
For the unbelieving husband is sanctified by the wife,
and the unbelieving wife is sanctified by the husband:
else were your children unclean;
but now are they holy.
You are not too old to let your light glow;
Nor too married to let your spouse know
That a re-kindled fire
Will keep a marriage that will never tire.
The Holy Ghost is given to your life
To humble you, teach you, and break down strife.
Man stands in the gap of your hedge
While God trims off your rough edge!
The Word of God cuts like a knife
To mold and shape you into a virtuous wife.
As Jesus shows you His care
All your burdens, He will bear.
I dare say this day, you did learn
The patience you need if you're to discern
The problems and pitfalls before it's too late
So that the Lord can deal with your darling mate.
For you must know how God's love can win
Your husband to you, as Christ works with his sin.
Give your concern to Jesus - He will take it
And show you how you can make it!
I'll leave you with this lesson sure
And an adage that's true,
"YOU CAN ENDURE".
JESUS will bind your curse
If, in your life, you'll put Him first.
My Dear Friends:
He'll break every fetter
And your life in Him will be so much better.
