Godly men, you are indeed all around us. We pass you on the streets, in the malls and the halls at work. Most women can't see you because they don't know what a godly man really looks like.
You usually aren't flashy or rich enough, accordingly to the world, to turn heads. You might not wear a suit or drive a Lexus. You might not have a body like Arnold with a Denzel face.
But, as we godly women mature, we realize it's better to find someone who's got our back than someone who can only turn our head. As a godly man you do not agree wholeheartedly with everything we say.
You don't just tell us what we want to hear and then do the opposite. You don't declare how sensitive, sweet, caring, sincere, yada, yada, yada you are (you don't have to because it shows).
You have your own opinions and we may see issues differently. However, you don't degrade us to prove you're right. You even admit at times to being wrong, even when we aren't always willing to do the same.
A godly man is not going to meet every item on our check list. You are human with frailties and faults mixed in with all of your wonderful, strong attributes. YOU NEED AND DESERVE OUR LOVE AND RESPECT. We have learned that we don't live to catch you doing something wrong so we can declare, Aha! I knew you were a dog!!
As a godly man, you don't have to give us a huge birthday party or Valentine's day gift. You show your love in the ways that are comfortable for you.
As godly women, we won't judge you by TV standards. We aren't receiving those lies. Besides, we would miss out on our own blessings by buying into the lie that you are no good or weak. It's just not true.
Godly Men, I salute you, and thank you for who you are, all you've
done and all you are doing through Christ Jesus.
