Deception

Matthew 24:4-5, "And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you. For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many.
Matthew 24:11-14, "And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many. And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold. But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved. And this gospel of the Kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.
Deception is a subtle avenue which the enemy (Satan) takes to snare the children of God. The attacks are well disguised, most are not detected until the fruit is seen. Satan comes to a to steal, kill, and to destroy. "For where envying and strife is, there is confusion and every evil work" (James 3:16). This particular Scripture reveals Satan's tactics and the purpose of his presence.
Satan's plan is to manipulate those who are ignorant and blind to his devices. His attention is especially drawn to those who refuse to walk in Truth. He uses them for sport. Satan winds himself in and around his prey (like the serpent in the Garden of Eden), bombarding them with doubt and disbelief.
Satan is a master at what he does. The Word says, "...for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light." He comes to us in many different forms, all for the purpose of deceiving the people of God. I John 4:1-2 says,"Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world. Hereby know ye the Spirit of God."
The past elections and the procedures on Capitol Hill are causing many to waver in their moral judgement. They are more concerned with the situation they see in the natural, than what God is saying by the Spirit. We cannot afford to overlook the moral decay in today's society. When we refuse to accept Godly Principles we have already been deceived. What's going to happen to the children? Wake up people, your heart must change. America must repent, now!
Most people are satisfied with the situations. Our inner man cannot be at peace with all that is going on. We must believe the Word more now, than ever before. We should be expecting a change. Romans 1:17 says, "For therein is the Righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by Faith." II Corinthians 3:18 says, "But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the Glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord." There is a change on the horizon; not by the standard of man, but according to the standard of God.
Our leaders are expecting the economy to continue in the fashion it has been going. They are projecting great things for the future. But for those who are listening to the Spirit, know that Big Brother government is not telling it all. Unless we hear from God, we will be deceived.
They are looking for peace, but we know that I Thessalonians 5:3 says, "For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape." We should not be looking to man to give us the answer to our future. The leaders (man) are not looking to God, they are looking unto themselves.
God does not want us ignorant concerning the things of the Spirit. He wants us to be led by the Wisdom of the Word and by the Spirit of Truth. The Holy Spirit helps us to discern good from evil, and in the Spirit we are guided by His Laws. These Laws help us to understand the Works of the Spirit. They take precedent over the natural laws at all times.
Ephesians 4:14 says, "... henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive". We cannot afford to continue to walk as children. We must grow up in the things of Christ.
Every time we compromise with the enemy, we give part of ourselves to him. Little by little satan seeks to suck the Life (Word) out of every Christian. Galatians 6:7 says, "Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap." The seeds that we sow should be of good fruit, because we might have to eat it. The world's garbage should not be our diet. We must be filled with the Holy Ghost. Feasting on Manna from on High (Revelations from God). Based on the Word.
When we choose not to follow after the things of God, we move into an area of abuse. During the elections the candidates played unfair politics, but there were many Christians who promoted the candidate's agenda. Were they guided by the Spirit of God? They say they were, but the Bible says, "God forbid: yea, let God be true, but every man a liar; as it is written, That thou mightest be justified in thy sayings. and mightest overcome when thou are judged" (Romans 3:4).
Matthew 16:26 says, "For what is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul?" Fellow Christians, don't allow these few years of prosperity to lead us in the wrong direction. Allow the Word of God to be Number One in our lives in these last days. We don't know what tomorrow will bring, but we do know the One who does. We must continue to seek God's Truth and be willing to give it in Love.
The "church" must be willing to teach the young and the old, the Principles of the Kingdom. They cannot be left to fend for themselves. It is the "church's" responsibility to make disciples for Christ and turn the world up-side-down for the Glory of God. The Word says, "Ye are the salt of the earth: but if the salt have lost his savor, wherewith shall it be salted? It is thenceforth good For nothing, but to be cast out, and to be trodden under foot of men" (Matthew 5:13). If we are salt? We should be affecting our little space.
Satan will use anything to blind us to evil, even the Written Word of God (not Rhema because there is no Life in him). He feeds on the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life. Satan wants self to rule instead of the spirit. Proverbs 29:23 says, "A man's pride brings him low, but a man of lowly spirit gains honor". We're only here for a short period of time, let us live to the Glory of God.
Ephesians 6:10-13 says, "Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the Power of His Might. Put on the Whole Armor of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. Wherefore take unto you the Whole Armor of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. We cannot stand unless we know how. Ephesians 6:10-13 tells us what to do and what is expected, but Ephesians 6:14-18 tells us how.
In today's society, knowledge (information) is at the reach of a button and many are seeking to obtain it. But for a Christian, knowledge can be dangerous without Wisdom and Understanding to go side by side. Many Christians are caught off guard because they are trying to make knowledge do what Wisdom and Understanding should be doing.
We should be geared and ready to fight at all times. We don't have to put on the Armor every day, the Armor should be on at all times. Ephesians 6:14-18 says that our loins must be girt with Truth; we must have on the breast of plate of Righteousness; our feet must be shed with the preparations of the Gospel of Peace; we must have the shield of Faith to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked; we must have the helmet of Salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God; we must pray always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit and watch with all perseverance and supplication for all saints.
James 1:13-14 says, "Let no man say when he is tempted, I am tempted of God: for God cannot be tempted with evil, neither tempteth he any man: but every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust and enticed." So, check your walk with the Lord and keep the door closed to the enemy. The enemy needs a way into your life, to work his deceitful acts.
Obedience always defeats the enemy. Obey the Word of God. Be a doer of the Word, not a hearer only. God, through His Spirit, helps us to live a Life pleasing unto Him. Many choose not to believe the Truth and accept a lie. ©
Godly Wisdom, we must seek Heavenly knowledge, we must behold God's Grace, we must Understand before Jesus crosses the threshold.
We cannot wait for tomorrow to decide which way to go today or tonight might be the time when God says, "No More!"
The Holy Ghost searches the heart for things we cannot see He helps us to put away sin to prepare us for His Glory.
When we are called to Glory it will be all over After yielding at the Cross of Calvary we can shout and tell the story! It is time to pray!
